Organic Whole Wheat Pasta Review: Bionaturae Organic 100% Whole Wheat Spaghetti

This Pasta was One of the Best Whole Wheat Pastas that I Have Tried

Over the course of many weeks I not only tried out many different organic whole wheat spaghetti pastas but also over the last couple weeks I have tried out several pastas from the brand Bionaturae. Some of the whole wheat spaghetti pastas that I have tried were Delallo Organic Whole Wheat Pasta, Westbrae Natural Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti, De Boles Organic Whole Wheat Angel Hair, Naturally Preferred Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti and most recently Bionaturae Organic 100% Whole Wheat Spaghetti. In addition to the whole wheat spaghetti from Bionaturae I have also tried their Organic Linguine, Organic Capellini and Organic Durum Semolina Spaghetti. Here is what I thought of the whole wheat spaghetti pasta from Bionaturae.

Now as I mentioned above I have already tried many different organic whole wheat spaghetti pastas and I have to admit that some of them are much better than others. When it came to the Bionaturae Organic 100% Whole Wheat Spaghetti I definitely thought that it was one of the better ones as far as tastes goes. The two things that I was not super happy about was the fact that it came in a plastic bag and not a box and that it came from Italy. I think that the pasta coming from a country that really knows their pastas is not a problem, but having to travel so far the pasta uses a lot of resources getting to my grocery store. The use of the resources is the thing that bothers me a bit. Other than those two things I really have no complaints about this pasta.

The Bionaturae Organic 100% Whole Wheat Spaghetti had a whole wheat texture but it was much smoother than a lot of the other whole wheat pastas that I have eaten. It is important to not overcook it, the bag suggest that you cook it for ten minutes which is what I tried to do each time that I cooked it. I found that I liked it better when I cooked it along with some of the capellini pasta from Bionaturae. In addition to tasting good this pasta is also really good for you. One of the reasons that I started getting organic whole wheat spaghetti pastas in the first place was for the nutrition facts. I've learned though that a lot of the whole wheat pastas actually have very similar nutrition facts that wheat durum semolia pastas have.

The nutrition facts of Bionaturae Organic 100% Whole Wheat Spaghetti are based off of the standard serving size of two ounces of spaghetti. Each serving has one hundred and eighty calories with fifteen calories from fat. There is a gram of sugars in every serving as well as seven grams of protein, six grams of fiber and thirty five grams of carbohydrates. In the vitamins and minerals portion of the nutrition facts list calcium with two percent and list iron with a whole ten percent. The ingredient list of this pasta are only organic whole durum wheat flour. I was very pleased about these nutrition facts.

I would recommend for anyone to give the Bionaturae Organic 100% Whole Wheat Spaghetti a try. If whole wheat isn't something that you like a whole lot then I would recommend getting it with something that it lighter to cook along with the pasta. It will help to choose a pasta that takes the same cook time. I can definitely see myself getting this pasta again. When on sale you can get a pound for about two and a half dollars. I am glad that I found this spaghetti on sale and I am glad that I tried it.
