Saving Money at the Grocery Store

Everyone is trying to tighten their budgets these days. Many people have lost their jobs or taken pay cuts and households have to find ways to save money.

Using coupons should be an olympic sport! There are even TV shows, like Extreme Couponing, that cater to people that want to save money by using coupons. It is amazing at how some people can pay next to nothing for a full cart of groceries.

First, cut and clip all the coupons you can find. They are usually in your local newspapers and sometimes you get them in the mail. You should also join websites that allow you to print coupons, such as inboxdollars. Join all the grocery store allegiance clubs in your area. They also have specials and coupons for their members. Write to your favorite manufacturers as they often thank you by sending you coupons!

Once you have a bunch of coupons you will need to organize them for easy use. No one likes to spend hours in the grocery store because you know you have a coupon - somewhere! It is aggravating and frustrating.

You an organize your coupons using a school binder and trading card sleeves. You can buy the sleeves at hobby stores or trading card stores. The card slots are see through and the perfect size to hold your coupons. You can us dividers to section off things like household cleaners, frozen foods, snacks, etc.

By organizing your coupons you can be in and out of the grocery store in no time at all and save the maximum amount possible. By saving money on your groceries you will have more money to spend on other necessities like your mortgage, rent, electric or just use it for something fun like a night out for dinner and movie. The choices are endless.!

I love love love the idea of using trading card sleeves. I use a little coupon divider, even though they are sectioned out, I still find myself thumbing through the pile of coupons within that section. I'm going to try this!
