Oriental Chicken Casserole Recipe: a New Slant on an Old Favorite

Not Grandma's Chicken Casserole

Barbie Crafts
This chicken casserole recipe has a definite Oriental taste component, but it also has the same comforting warmth and satisfying characteristics of Grandma's chicken casserole. The best part is that it is quick, cheap, and easy!
You can prepare this in the rice cooker, if you wish, or just bake it in the oven. All the ingredients are already cooked, so there is no need to worry about doneness.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 to 2 cups cooked, flaked chicken (You can use canned or leftover chicken.)
1 can of Campbells Chicken gravy
1 bag of frozen broccoli, cooked
1 box of Stovetop Stuffing, any flavor
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 sleeve of crushed Townhouse or Ritz crackers
Margarine or butter to dot across the crackers
1 cup of shredded Mozzarella or other Italian Cheese
Seasoning salt or Paprika to sprinkle on the top

Directions:
1. Prepare the stuffing mix according to directions.
2. Add the chicken, broccoli, gravy, and soy sauce; lightly mix.
3. Place in a greased dish.
4. Top with crushed crackers and dot with butter.
5. Sprinkle Italian cheese over the top.
6. Lightly sprinkle with seasoning salt or paprika.
7. Bake for around 15 minutes in the rice cooker or in the oven around 375 until heated through and the cheese is melted.
