Oriental knit dreams
swim through the mind
as REM blast its way
across my eyelids
causing them to flutter
in anticipation
for the disabling ecstasy
that comes with
sandman's song.
Suddenly
Griffin's family laughter
brings the heightened senses,
left empty by the darkness of creation,
back from the slumber King's call.
The wisdom of other realms is thus
swept clear.
