Original Halloween Costumes for 2009

A lot of people this year will be donning Michael Jackson's outfits and vampire attire in 2009 but most of us like to be original. The problem with being original is that it's hard to be creative, original, and hip at the same time. Heres a simple list of what you can be this Halloween and still stand apart from the crowd, looking hip, witty, and cool.

KISS - It's a real simple group outfit idea all you need is some face paint, some leather and some long fake tongues. Really long fake tongues. Kiss hasn't really been in the news lately, but Richard Simmons "Family Jewels" on Bravo is still a fun show to watch. Plus, the movie "Role Models" glorified this super group.

The Girls Next Door - A new season is arriving and let's face it Halloween is an excuse to dress up or dress with very little. It's really easy to imitate a Playboy model and just throw on a blonde wig and you're one of Hefner's new girls easily.

Lady Gaga - Let's face it, you can wear absolutely anything and say, "Yeah, I'm Lady Gaga." A lot of you have already seen the YouTube video of the young Lady Gaga on MTV's Boiling Points, and have seen her ridiculous outfits on the MTV Video Music Awards, either way, its simple, easy, chic, and original.

A Judge - Sonia Sotomayor is the new Supreme Court judge and most people couldn't name one of the people on the Supreme Court today, I'd say 95% couldn't name at least two. Be a judge, the new Hispanic judge, and show your knowledge of current politics and see how many people know who you are!

Kim Jong Il - You better have watched "Team America: World Police" already and you should know the dictator of North Korea if you're up in world problems politics and it will just be hilarious acting like the crazy ruler.

Sarah Palin - I know she may seem a little '08 for you but this political pundit will be making headlines in 2009 and many among us can pull her off as a joke. Get it?

A Pilot - How can we forget the plane crash in the Hudson River earlier this year? We've seemed to shy away from making pilots our everyday heroes as we did in the 50's and 60's. Let's remember they're probably in charge and responsible for thousands of people every day.

The Hardy Boys - A very simple duo outfit for two guys who want to show how much they know (Ben Stiller and Tom Cruise will be shooting a new movie about the grown up Hardy Boys in the near future). Oh yeah, after seeing Tropic Thunder, just imagine the laughs.
