The Florida Film Festival takes place at the Enzian Theater in Maitland the week of April 9 and runs for ten days to honor the best in American independent and foreign films, narrative films and animation. It's one of the largest regional film festivals in the United States, and this year's lineup of events includes an American Independent Competition, Midnight movies and an international showcase. The Maitland Spring Festival of the Arts will be held on April 17 and 18 at Lake Likely and features over 150 artists from Orlando and the surrounding areas. Spring Fiesta in the Park is a popular community festival that takes place at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando each spring. Head here to see dozens of artist's booths with collections of sculptures, glass art, paintings, graphic art and ceramics. You can enjoy live entertainment throughout the day, and admission is free.
