Orlando's Best World Cup Bars

Catch All the 2010 World Cup Soccer Action

Zanna B.
With a diverse population made up of families from around the world, it's no secret World Cup 2010 is going to be watched by a lot of people in Orlando. Here are some of the best places to catch a match and grab a pint with your fellow football (soccer, etc) enthusiasts! These are Orlando's Best World Cup bars.

The Celt:
This authentic Irish pub downtown is quite the hot spot, and with good reason. They have a number of beers on tap, but they pride themselves on their Guinness pour. It's a great place to grab dinner and drinks for Friday happy hour. Seating is sparse, so if you're rooting for your favorite team it's best to come early and grab a booth near the giant projection screen. Food at the Celt is traditional Irish fare. If you're feeling daring go for the Scotch Egg (sausage-encased, hard-boiled egg)... it's a marvel of gastronomy. The Celt is adjusting its hours to be open when matches are played live, so if you feel like drinking a beer with friendly faces at 9:30 in the morning this is your spot.

Cricketers Arms:
The west side of town is where many tourists and Floridians alike will gather to watch World Cup action. With 17 beers on tap, the Cricketers Arms calls itself Orlando's premiere English Pub. The menu even has three different kinds of Fish and Chips! They're planning on showing all the broadcasted FIFA action, check out their calendar. Expect many ex-pats from the UK to pack this bar.

Fiddler's Green:
Winter Park's beloved Irish pub is undergoing renovations on the outside, but don't let that stop you from popping in to catch all the World Cup events. In between matches you can play darts, pool or just listen to live music. They're well-known for burgers and shepherd's pie here... Fiddler's has many beers on tap and in the bottle, but also an impressive scotch and whiskey selection.

Winter Park, FL

Oh, Que Bueno!:
Europe doesn't have the corner on football, this is after all the World Cup. So, if you're looking for some Latin fare while you cheer on your team, Oh, Que Bueno has you covered. They serve Colombian fare (and beer) ... think empanadas, bandeja paisa, and lots and lots of meat. They don't have their own website, so definitely call before you head out to make sure they're showing the game you want to see.
