Orlimar ZX 460CC Offset Driver

Slice Killer!

MikeBabjak
While Orlimar is long past its glory days with its Tri-Metal line of fairway woods, (keep an eye out for my Retro Golf Club Reviews) it continues to make solid clubs for every type of golfer out there today. From Pro Line equipment, Game Improvement clubs to boxed sets, Orilmar now has its hand in everything golf equipment related, right down to golf balls.

The Orlimar ZX 460cc Offset Driver is designed to do one thing and one thing only: Kill your slice! Its massive head combined with heel weighting, offset and a 3* closed face will keep almost any golfers ball from going right to left. Fitted with a 10.5* head and Alidila NV shaft, this club is very accurate and very powerful.

The looks of the ZX 460cc Offset are very impressive once you get past the offset club head. It offers a very appealing look with traditional styling and a very premium look that most golfers will fall in love with. The function of the head is what gets people talking though. Obviously the offset head, closed face, heel weighting, and size are key, but the fact that the head features 10.5* of loft gives the golfer more effective carry distance by creating more backspin and less sidespin which further defines this club as a fairway splitting machine!

I had the chance to spend an hour with this club one day and got to hit a ton of balls with it. First I must say it looks great, feels great, and hits great! Hitting a natural draw it over cooked into a big hook for me, but this club will NOT let you go right! I felt the shaft was a little long for the amateur golfer as I always recommend a 44.5" shaft for everyone, but once you get your timing with this bomber the ball flies straight and long!

I would recommend this club to anyone looking to fix a slice, or who hits a slight fade looking to hit a draw. With a price of under $200 it is a first quality, and should be a first choice driver for those on a budget! But sorry, you can't get this club of an infomercial which started the whole Orlimar craze some 10 years ago, but you can visit their website or several golf outlets and web retailers to get this great club in your hands!

Stay tuned for new posts over the next few months!
