The Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino, located at the intersection of U.S. 60 and City View Road, is a 7,700 square foot facility that contains 222 slot machines ranging from penny machines to $10 machines.
The casino is currently housed in three trailers as construction is under way on the permanent $14 million-dollar complex, which will also include a service station travel plaza.
Construction is estimated to take one year.
Other Million Dollar Elm Casinos are located in Tulsa, Sand Springs, Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Hominy and Skiatook.
The new casino is the latest addition to the growing casino community in the Ponca City area.
Located to the north of Ponca City in Newkirk is the Kaw Southwind Casino which features many machines and poker tables. Also in Newkirk is the Tonkawa Tribe's Native Lights Casino which also features poker tables and a bar.
The Otoe Missouria Tribe has a convince store which houses a small casino called a Lil'Bit of Paradise. It is located north of Native Lights.
Next door to Lil' Bit of Paradises is The First Council Casino, also an Otoe Missouria enterprise. It is slated to open Feb. 1.
To the west of Ponca City is the Tonkawa Tribal Casino located off of old Highway 60.
South of Ponca City, is Blue Star Casino, operated by the Ponca Tribe.
Also south of Ponca City is Seven Clans Casino and a convince store casino, both operated by the Otoe Missouria Tribe.
