Osama Bin Laden is Dead, but Do We Still Have to Deal with Al-Qaida?

Eight years after George W. Bush announced the end of the war in Iraq Barack Obama walks out and announces that Osama Bin Laden has been killed in Pakistan. I am overjoyed; not just because something has finally come out of these military efforts but for Barack Obama who now has yet another one under his belt. You could not ask for anything more.

It truly is a wonderful day. All of those soldiers who had died in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the countless sacrifices made and for years it seemed as though it was all for nothing. All we had to show for it was increased gasoline prices, other terrorist attacks and other failed attempts at terrorist attacks, and then things started to unravel here at home economically.

So who picks up the efforts of Al-Qaida now that Osama Bin Laden is gone? We did the work and obtained the body, have it in custody, and have confirmed through DNA evidence, that it is indeed Osama Bin Laden. Clearly, the fight against terrorism is far from over. But there is a small glimpse of light in the dark, now that the mastermind behind the worst attacks in American history has been killed ...

    Someone will more than likely rise up in his place. It's not like we killed a dictator who was forcing everyone to follow him. He had vast numbers of fanatic supporters.
