Osama Bin Laden Threatens to Kill Americans If KSM is Executed
Osama Bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, delivered his threat via a 74-second audio tape, which was aired on the Al-Jazerra network. He warned the US that if KSM or any other al-Qaeda prisoners receive the death penalty, his terror network will murder American prisoners within his reach.
In addition to the 9/11 terror attacks, KSM confessed to have personally decapitated Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Humane treatment of captives is not an al-Qaeda forte.
In June 2009, the Taliban in Afghanistan captured an American soldier; it is unknown if there are any POWs being held captive under sole control of al-Qaeda.
Osama cryptically reminded the US that he was able to reach our homeland on 9/11/2001.

He uttered, "Your friend at the White House is still walking in the footsteps of those before (him) in many important matters," including escalating the war in Afghanistan and "oppressing our prisoners that you are holding, beginning with the mujahid hero Khalid al Sheikh Mohammed(KSM).
In 2003, KSM was captured in Pakistan and is currently being held at Guantanamo Bay. On Dec. 8, 2008 he along with four others wrote the military judge at Guantanamo asking to officially confess and plead guilty.

In November 2009, the Obama administration disregarded the KSM confession and vowed to try him in a civilian court located near Ground Zero, NYC.
In January, prompted by mounting political pressure and top NY officials, President Obama agreed to examine different venue options for the KSM trials, more on that here.
It is unknown if this latest threat by Osama bin laden will be a factor in the president's decision in how the US will handle the prosecution of Khalid Sheik Mohammed and the other terrorists in US custody.
