Osama Bin Laden's Body to Be Treated In Accordance with Islamic Practice

According to Politico, Osama Bin Laden's body is to be treated "in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition." President Obama went out of his way in the announcement of Bin Laden's death to state that "Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader." The Obama administration has repeatedly refused to use terms like "Jihad" and "Islamic terrorist" when talking about the war on terror. Why then is Osama Bin Laden being given Islamic burial rites?

The media has run many stories mocking Americans for thinking that President Obama is a Muslim, yet it is actions like this that contribute to that perception. The Obama administration has taken great pains to disassociate Islam from Islamic terror, even in incidents like the Fort Hood shooting, where the gunman shouted "Allah Akbar" before opening fire. Every terrorist incident since President Obama took office has been downplayed, and the fact that they were perpetrated by Muslims dismissed.

The President spent the first year of his presidency making speeches apologizing for our treatment of the Muslim world. He turned NASA into a Muslim outreach program. His Justice Department has ramped up "civil rights" cases on behalf of Muslim "victims." President Obama has made the effort to observe every Muslim holiday with a statement, which he has not done for Christian holidays. When he had the chance to do the right thing on the building of a mosque near Ground Zero, President Obama equivocated.

And now we learn that Osama Bin Laden, whom the President explicitly stated was "not a Muslim leader," who was the leader of the biggest Islamic terror organization ever founded which Obama administration forbid its agencies from calling Islamic, is going to be handled "in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition."

The President and his allies become apoplectic at assertions that he is a Muslim.

Perhaps it would help them to remember the old saying "if it walks like a duck....."

If President Obama doesn't like being thought of as a Muslim, perhaps he shouldn't be that duck all the time.
