Oscar Fashion 2010 Includes Jennifer Lopez, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock

The Winners and Losers of Oscar Fashion 2010

Oscar fashion 2010 was breath-taking tonight as we watched some of the biggest names in Hollywood walk the Oscar Red Carpet and show off their couture gowns and jewels. The Oscar's always promise a night full of phenomenal fashion and tonight was certainly no different. What else would you expect from the Oscar's fashion for 2010 that includes the very best talent in Hollywood like Jennifer Lopez, Meryl Streep and Saundra Bullock?

Oscar Fashion 2010 Winner #1
But if you are going to talk about the Oscar Fashions for 2010 you have to start with the ever trendy, on-the-fashion-edge Jennifer Lopez. The dress by Armani Prive was a strapless, iridescent soft pink with a very long asymmetrical train. The gown looked gorgeous on Jennifer and highlighted her beautiful skin.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Winner #2
Meryl Streep, no stranger to the Oscars, wore a mesmerizing snow white gown that was designed by Chris March from the hit show Project Runway. It fit Meryl perfectly and was cut low in the front, tucked into her waist and hung straight. It was an excellent pick for her and she looked marvelous for Oscars 2010 fashion night.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Winner #3
Oscar fashion 2010 was also graced this evening with Tina Fey. Tina wore a tasteful black gown with a single shoulder strap and it glittered and shined as it fell straight to the red carpet. Tina Fey's hair and makeup perfectly complemented the overall look that was nothing short of spectacular.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Winner #4
Sandra Bullock wore a silver metallic, fitted gown that was designed by Patricia Field. The top of the dress was adorned with embroidered flowers and it was stunning on Sandra. Her smooth shiny hair and glamorous Hollywood makeup made it just perfect from head to toe.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Winner #5
Elizabeth Banks wore Versace in calming shades of blue and grey. The long flowing gown moved magnificently over the red carpet. The tight fitted, strapless bodice had a cross-over technique that was perfect.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Loser #1
Charlize Theron, normally very fashionably, was a huge disappointment. Her gown by John Galliano for Dior made me think of Madonna and if I wanted to vogue. The two-toned pink gown included two rosettes directly on her bust. It was the only thing that you could really look at, it didn't matter what the rest of the dress looked like. It was such a mistake for beautiful Charlize Theron.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Loser #2
Vera Farmiga wore a deep red Marquesa gown that had the trademark ruffles. But unfortunately this time the gown looked more like it was ready for a fandango dancer than for a night at the Oscars.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Loser #3
Zoe Saldana went for extremely unique from Givenchy Haute Couture. It was jst a confusing gold and purple mess and when she walked the poofy, lumpy train looked like small animals were following her. It was just a mess.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Loser #4
Upon fear of hate mail I will say this anyway, I hated Gabourey Sidibe's dress. She herself told Ryan Seacrest that she felt the dress was "porn-star-esque" and she was right. It just looked messy on her with the too-low cut in the bust and the strange wrap sleeves. Someone should have done a better job dressing her for the Oscars.

Oscar Fashion 2010 Loser #5
Young Miley Cyrus keeps trying to have a really good fashion night and she just keeps missing the mark ever so slightly. Tonight she came very close to success with a gold gown that swept nicely to the ground. But the bodice was just too tight and mature for her and it looked more like lingerie than sophistication. Sorry Miley, it just didn't work.
