Oscar Mayer Selects Bun Length Angus Beef Franks Product Review

Kassidy Emmerson
I get hungry for a good beef hot dog now and then. The problem is, they're usually very greasy. I love a good Angus burger or steak too. That's why, when I saw Oscar Mayer Selects Bun Length Angus Beef Franks on a recent trip to the grocery, I had to try them. Another thing that impressed me is, these hot dogs only contain nitrates and nitrites that come from celery juice. According to R&FF Retailer , Kraft Foods came up with these special franks "to address concerns about nitrates", and, to give consumers flavors they want.

Price and Availability
I found Oscar Mayer Selects Bun Length Angus Beef Franks at Kroger. The store had a sale. If you bought two 16-ounce packages, they were $3.50 each.

Taste Test and Conclusion
My family and I love the beefy flavor of Oscar Mayer Selects Bun Length Angus Beef Franks. We could taste the difference between regular beef hot dogs and these franks. They aren't as greasy as other beef hot dogs we've tried either. I'll definitely buy them again. Next time I want to try another variety, the Oscar Mayer Selects Hardwood Smoked Turkey Franks too.

Since the web page on the hot dogs didn't have a chance for comment, I'm sending comments here. A couple years ago, I said I was through eating OM hot dogs because they started having tough skins and bones in the hot dogs. I've been happily eating Ballpark franks until recently, when I thought I'd try OM Angus hot dogs. First one in my mouth had bits of bone in it. Bone does not belong in hot dogs. I threw the package in the garbage and my family will NOT be buying OM hot dogs. Package bar code: 0 4470000665 8. Please don't unload anymore tough skinned, bone-contaminated hot dogs on the public.

I'm eating these dogs tonight, for the first time. They are awesome. You're right, there is a difference in flavor with these franks. I'm a big fan and regular consumer of hot dogs and these are some of the best overall franks I've tried. Even their texture is top - rate. Very good review of a very good product.

I work for Oscar Mayer and we are happy you enjoyed our new Bun Length Angus Beef Franks. I did, however, want to clarify that the reason we introduced Oscar Mayer Selects was because some consumers want to purchase foods with more basic ingredients they can easily recognize. I am glad you plan to buy Selects again and hope you like our other varieties too.
