O'Sheas Poker Room is All About Fun

It's Not the Place for Hardcore Players, but O'Sheas is a Fun Place to Play

One of the best things about the Las Vegas poker scene is that there is a casino poker room to fit just about every traveler's needs. From degenerate gamblers, to seasoned professionals, to the weakest of tourist players, the city has a game for each of them. Most of the time, these games are divided among the casinos, with different poker rooms keeping their specialty within a certain group of players. For the new, weaker players, there is a place that could be called the perfect poker haven. O'Shea's, which sits nicely in the heart of the Strip, is that place. If you have never played tough, competitive poker before, this place is a good poker room in which to get your start.

The reason why this is the perfect tourist poker room is because it is a generally light and fun room. O'Shea's poker room is different than the rest of Las Vegas in that most people there don't take themselves too seriously. They enjoy playing the game, but they are simply there to have fun. That's what the atmosphere is all about in this poker room. People just want to have fun. Because of that, the level of play is generally pretty novice. Many times, players will populate tables and have no idea what they are doing. That's alright, though, as playing in this poker room is all about having a good time.

The music at O'Shea's is part of the draw. It comes from the bar which operates nearby and it always seems to lighten the mood. In this poker room, players will find themselves entertained at all times. Generally, this draws in bad players from the bar who will sit down and dump their chips in a short amount of time. Usually, this would attract some of Las Vegas' best players, but because this poker room caps betting on its $1/$3 no-limit game, most good players will opt to stay away.

In general, the people at O'Shea's want to keep everything fun. They don't claim to be the Bellagio or the Wynn and they don't expect you to take it that seriously either. This poker room could use an upgrade in the cocktail service department, but you can tell that they're always trying hard to keep players happy. All in all, this poker room knows its place and is a good spot for young and inexperienced players. More seasoned poker players will want to take their business elsewhere.
