When most people think of the Walt Disney World resort they think of the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. And while these are the main draws of the most visited resort in the world, they are not the only gated parks at Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney World is a true vacation destination. And to cater to the interests of everyone in the family Walt Disney World has, in addition to the four main theme parks, two water parks and a virtual theme park.

DisneyQuest
Located in the Downtown Disney Westside area of Walt Disney World, DisneyQuest is an indoor "virtual theme park." Inside the five story building that houses DisneyQuest, guests find a variety of rides and experiences. The virtural reality rides include a recreation of the Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise where guests paddle a raft down a wild river and a flying carpet experiance where rides don a virtual reality helmet and fly high above Agrabah on a magic carpet.

Along the lines of more "real" rides, there's Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters in which riders pilot a bumper-car type vehicle and shoot other players with plastic balls using the vehicle's "astroblaser" gun.

Disney's Typoon Logoon
The "legend" behind this highly themed waterpark is that a giant typhoon wreaked havoc on a one tranquil place. The result of the typhoon is a waterpark with slides and pool. In fact, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon features the world's largest wave pool. You can ever take surfing lessons in the wave pool. The park also features a lazy river that circles the park and travels through caves. And if you're really adventurous, there's a salt water pool filled with fish and even a shark or two in which you can snorkel.

Disney's Blizzard Beach
In keeping with tradition of have a back story, the back story to Disney's Blizzard Beach is that snowstorm hit Central Florida and left Florida's only ski resort. Caused by melting ice, pools of water were formed and slides were created and the fun began. Blizzard Beach features many attractions similar to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon such as a lazy river, slides, and a kiddie area.
