We had a wonderful first couple of days. We took the kids up and down the strip covering their eyes from all the obscene things posted all over the fences. Went to all of the gift shops. Even went to Utah one day to go hiking in Zion National Park when my son had to go to the bathroom before we started on a trail. It looked like a port o potty but when you opened the door we had never seen such a thing before. It was a hole in the ground. A very deep hole. He looked at me and refused to go in that hole. There was no way he was doing that and he wound up peeing his pants. That was the start of where our vacation took the wrong turn. So we had to find a walmart in Utah on the way back. I stayed in the car with the kids while my husband went inside and bought him new underwear and pants. We'll never forget this trip. Always take extra clothes for the kids when going hiking.
This is where it turns worse. We all took turns watching the kids in the arcade at the casinos while we took turns gambling. Well my son loved this boxing game. We are assuming this is where he picked up a virus. There were boxing gloves you put your hands in to box in the game. Remember always take wipes! Or hand sanitizer. That night I remember vividly. In the parking lot of the Flamingo our oldest son got sick. All over. Went back to the hotel and needless to say then the next two kids in line got sick. Then of course my husband and I got this horrible stomach virus. Picture one hotel room, one bathroom and two sick adults with three sick kids all fighting over that bathroom. It smelled of sickness. I was feeling sorry for whoever had to clean up that room after we checked out.
We were due to get on the plane to head home. There was no way we could make it to the car let alone the airport and flight home to Florida. My mother in law went to the airport to explain we would not physically be able to make the flight we were so sick and after allot of arguing and begging they did change our flight. We had to stay in the hotel a extra day. Those poor people that had to clean after we left. I felt so bad for them.
We all made it to the airport feeling better and my husband gave me twenty bucks to play in a slot machine while we waited for our flight. I put it all in a nickel machine. It went crazy and I had no idea what I did so I just cashed out. I had won $108. What a wonderful end to that vacation. Yes if you were there that day I was the one jumping up and down yelling I won right before I got on the plane.

Post a CommentYes your right. The kids did have fun in the red rock canyon etc. It was something the inlaws invited us to because they love vegas so much and wanted the family to do together. Trust me it will be the only time that happens
Perhaps the best bet is to leave the children at home. Las Vegas is NOT a family town, and we locals are always amazed when people insist on dragging their offspring through casinos and restaurants. Perhaps a Disney location would be better next time!
