Our Beautiful Land
The earth, wind, trees, and the sand
The air we breathe is anything but clean
I pray that I'll wake up
And find it's only a bad dream
The world was a gift to us
For all of mankind
So what are we doing
Are we really that blind
The outcome get's worse with each passing day
Global warming I fear is here to stay
The field of wildflowers I loved as a tot
Is now nothing more then a huge dumping spot
What have we done to a beautiful place
It is frightening to some
Much like an unexpected hard slap in the face
Flowers and grass, eventually there will be no trace
They will be a clouded and distant memory of the past
As more garbage and debris take their place.

Post a CommentScarey isn't. Mother earth has a way of taking care of herself by eliminating the problem causers through drought and famine. Look around you, across the world, in places like Japan where thousands have been wiped out by a natural phenomenon. This is a cleansing action by Mother Nature.
