Our Christmas Gift
In the days of Herod the King,
In a land far, far away...
In a little, warm stable
All snuggled up in the hay...
Lay a sweet little baby
Our gift from above...
Sent to us from heaven,
To show us God's love.
This child God sent to us
That long ago day,
Not so we'd have Christmas...
But to show us the way.
The light from the heavens,
The bright star above,
Was another example
Of our God's great love.
So let's not forget,
Every Christmas day...
God gave us a gift...
And wrapped it in hay.
