A church bell tolls out to the lost
To come from far and wide.
But, a church is just a building,
Until its people hear God's call
And then he sends a message
To be told to one and all.
Our doors are open wide to those
Who come in answer to the call,
And our pastor shares the word of God,
Bringing comfort to us all.
This church means so very much
To those who grace its pews,
Some have known no other,
And others quite a few.
But, no matter how they came here,
Nor how long they've been around,
They all agree that there's something here
That they're so happy to have found.
The feeling of love surrounds you,
You sense it from the start,
From the building that is called the church
To the people - they're its heart.
It's an amazing congregation,
Who's caring knows no bounds,
In good times and in bad times
Their generosity can be found.
So, come pray with us and sing God's praise,
For there truly is not other way
To pave your road to Heaven
But by giving God your praise.
Let his light shine through you,
Out onto the land,
And spread the gospel word you hear
To every child and man.
God is alive and he lives here
And he does bestow his love,
For every good thing on this earth
Comes from up above.
