Our Economic Mess

Benjamin Ira Mikell

Regarding this topic, I do not plan to spend a great deal of time trying to provide a detailed explanation of why we are experiencing the current economic meltdown. It is difficult to understand the complete situation because Barack Hussein Obama and his administration have never been transparent about what they are doing since he was elected to the highest office in the land.

While it is historically true that former President George Bush is at fault for some of the economic troubles, the majority of the blame lies at the feet of Obama and those who serve him. As voters, we, too, are to blame for choosing leaders who are failing to lead our country in the direction of prosperity, patriotism, individualism, etc.

Our economic mess is also the result of the constant raising of taxes, excessive government intervention, creation of departments that are useless, over spending by the government, expansion of government, too many rules and regulations, and refusal to cut taxes which will allow businesses to grow and hire more workers which is a safe and secure means of raising revenue for the government.

Whatever Obama and his administrative staff calls our economic mess, it is my belief that we are in a depression. Whether or not it equals to or surpasses the one our grandparents and great grandparents endured remains to be seen. As long as we continue on the path we are on, and do not put in place solutions that the late President Ronald Reagan used, remove Obama and his administration from office, and win the Senate, it is highly possible that we will be living in a different America that is totally opposite to the America our forefathers founded several centuries ago.
