Our Economy: Struggling and Dying

Have you noticed that your wallet is becoming smaller and smaller by the day? Is your bank account shrinking as you receive each new statement? It doesn't take a brain scientist to figure out that America is certainly going through a very difficult time. Families are finding it nearly impossible to make ends meet. Americans don't even have enough money to pay for necessities such as groceries, insurance, and gasoline to make it home from their minimum wage job.

Don't worry about anything. As always, the government realizes that we do have a problem in our midst. Their solution... 2008 Economic Stimulus Checks! Everyone gets $600, unless of course you didn't make enough money in 2007, or you don't meet all of the requirements specified by the Internal Revenue Service.

Does that make any sense at all? You don't make enough money in 2007, so you don't get your free share of what Uncle Sam has to offer? Shouldn't it be those people that should be getting free money?

Moving past the requirements of the 2008 Stimulus Checks, is this really going to help? The Unites States Treasury Department may as well print out fresh new $100 bills and pass them around. What's the problem here? Ohh yes, the value of the United States dollar is diminishing each and every day. Your dollar barely goes anywhere nowadays. What can you buy for $1? A candy bar... That is if you buy it somewhere cheap like Wal-Mart.

Why not get rid of all denominations of coin? Just quite making the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar, and one dollar coin? Any transactions that you complete, whether they be purchasing groceries at the grocery store or purchasing gold/ gasoline at the gas station, it would be far easier to complete your transaction.

Is the fact that our economy is failing something that we can fix? Is this something like Global Warming that people won't accept until it destroys us completely? You may be wondering what you can do to help reverse this looming disaster. Now is a perfect time to attempt to fix our struggling economy.

With the Presidential Elections just around the corner, do your research before you vote. Determine which presidential candidate has the best plan to put back the pieces of our slashed economy. Most important about your vote... Make sure that you actually get out and vote. Your employer is required by United States law to let you out of work to go and vote. You have no excuse!
