Our Favorite Cleveland, Ohio Wedding Photographers

Mrs. Carrington
Because my husband (Sam Carrington of Sam Carrington Photography has been in Cleveland wedding photography for more than a decade, he has had the pleasure of being mentored by and working with some of the most creative and innovative wedding photographers in Cleveland. Here is a partial list of some of our favorites.

Christopher Norris of Christopher Norris Photography was one of Sam's first mentors back when Sam was at high school in Cleveland Heights. He runs a large and very efficient studio and has also created his own album software. He has been capturing beautiful brides in Cleveland for a long time!

Herbert Ascherman of Herbert Ascherman, Jr. Photography, gave Sam his start in Cleveland wedding photography. Herb is an internationally renown photographic artist who has also authored a book of his images. Herb is a creative visionary and the depth and breadth of his work reflects this.

New Image Photography, run by studio owner/photographer Jon Koslen, is another larger studio in Cleveland that employs several top-rate photographers. Sam used to be one of them! Jon is often credited for popularizing the photojournalism style of wedding photography that brides today are so fond of. Jon was one of the photographers at our wedding.

John Kieger, photographer and owner of Sussex Studios, is a long-time photographer with a wonderful creative eye. He is particularly known for his dramatic detail shots and some of his black and white detail shots from my wedding were among my favorites.

RAD Productions is the studio of Rob Drago, a really awesome up and coming photographer. In business on his own after working with other top photographers, Rob has an energetic creative style that makes his wedding photographs sparkle.

Of course, I can not complete this article without telling you about Sam Carrington Photography. Sam has been photographing weddings for over 10 years with some of the most innovative photographers in Cleveland. Although he has enjoyed that work, he is very excited to now be able to expand his own creative vision with his own studio. Sam is especially known for his fun, friendly style and wedding goers often comment on what a great presence he has in a crowd. Sam is particularly known for his fun, candid shots of dancing and other carousing and he has a particularly great time photographing after-parties.

There are, of course, many more wonderful Cleveland wedding photographers. This is just a brief sampling of some that Sam and I know well and would not hesitate to refer brides to if requested.
I hope this guide is helpful for you as you plan your Cleveland wedding and search for a Cleveland wedding photographer.
