Our Food Ad the Chemicals We Eat

Ever wonder why the food we ate for centuries was good, and now all of a sudden.... It's killing us. Of course, we eat the good foods, but what is in those can's, bag's and packages besides the good food.

Did you know there are about 3000 different chemicals and substances added to the food supply?

Here is a list of just what is in our food now.

Aciculae - K (also called Sunette) This can cause low blood sugar attacks, cancer or elevated cholesterol in lab animals. This has been poorly tested and in unsafe.

Artificial Coloring - This can cause ADD and ADHD in children, and learning and vision problems.

It can also cause allergic reactions, and has been poorly tested.

BHT - This cause's a multitude of problems... Liver and kidney damage, birth defects. This has been banned in England, so why do we use it?

MSG - this is one of the most used of the additives. This causes a whole host of problems, and is often 'hidden' in things like chewing gum, baby formula, drugs both prescription and over the counter type, also in IV's that are used in hospitals.

Nitrates - when these are added to the food, they can cause one of the most powerful cancer causing agents in the stomach, and can even cause death. The FDA has said this is the most dangerous, but still does not ban it because it prevents botulism.

Brominated Vegetable oil - This can cause some major organ damage and birth defects. The FDA say's this is dangerous, but has not taken any action to ban it in the U. S.

This is just a short list of the thousands of chemicals added to our food everyday, and we are eating them.

Some are in such tiny amount's they are not even listed on labels. Other's are such a part of the foods, they are in the list often times at the beginning. So as you read the labels of the food or package, more than likely if you cannot pronounce it....you probably don't want it.
