Our Friendship is Unique

Under normal circumstances,

It would have been a sign of ending,

I expected you to forget about me,

But this friendship is different,

Even though I held back from contacting you,

You understood my reasons,

Though you did not ask why,

You simply understood,

When my life was seeing better days,

I am sorry I forgot about you,

Mostly in my hardships,

You came when I needed you,

You were there without me even asking you to,

Being understanding and pushing me on,

You do know that our friendship is unique;

I realize this now,

You are my true friend,

I won't forget you anymore.
