Our Last Bye!

An early November morn,
and unseasonably warm,
I stood at the door,
took a glimpse in his eyes,
gave a quick kiss,
I said,
'Be careful and goodbye',

I not knowing at the time
this would be our last,
and from this moment on
all that could remain
would be our past.

Our life, we did share
our kids we raised,
our love day by day,
this we did fare.

I know in this life,
sometime,we take for
granted those we love,
till we get a visit from
our father above.

Then each day seems like
one big whirl ,
trying to get through,life,
in this cruel world.

Struggling to make a way
in life so alone,
yet knowing my love,
is now and forever gone.

I remember our life
just like it was today,'
oh 'Lord I pray'
help me find my new way.

I know someday we will
surely meet again.
It will be so..
beautiful and glorious,
to see all of them.

The smiles on their faces,
love in their eyes ,
all of this we need,
I so do advise!

So live each day as
it is your last,
and know someday you
'too'
will confront your past.

Some days I believe
he's here with me.
I can feel his touch,
I hear him talk,
Lord 'I can even see
his funny walk.

So rest assured this
is not the end,
we will all see
our loved ones,
again,my friends!

Now, I'll try to be content,
and live my life ,
without the burden
of grief or strife.

Till the lord comes,
and I 'too' am gone,
on my way with him,
to my blessed home.
