Our Mistakes
We find excuses to slink away in terror
So afraid we have become to make mistakes
We would rather do nothing than admit to an error
We seek perfection in all that we do
But the human condition makes that an impossible feat
Mistakes are part of our very makeup
They are proof that we try; not signs of defeat
Mistakes will offer many lessons
And if we are lucky, we will not make the same one twice
But it can take us a while to see the error of our ways
So, we repeat the cycle and pay an exorbitant price
But the lessons of our gaffes will eventually be learned
Our mistakes will give us hours of needed reflection
They will make us more capable of facing life's challenges
And inspire us to travel in a new direction

We all make mistakes and hopefully we learn from them!
What's really sad is when someone does not learn from his mistakes, but just keeps repeating them ad infinitum!

Making a mistake once is fine... making the same mistake twice: GRRRR!
When I an insurance agent our boss would tell us, "Go out and see how many NO THANK YOU's you can get! I made many mistakes but I learned how to sell insurance! You learn by doing, not by how many mistakes you make. Well done Donna!
It's good to learn from our mistakes even if it takes a few times.
