First you will need these things:
4 Eggs
4 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 Cups of water
1 Cup of buttermilk
4 Cups old fashioned stone ground corn meal
4 Teaspoons baking powder
2 Teaspoons of salt
2 Tablespoons of sugar, optional
You will need to preheat your oven to 450o Fahrenheit. Also, You will need two 9 inch baking pans. Grease the pans and place them in the oven to be heated. Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl. After beating the eggs add all of the remaining ingredients in their listed order into the mixing bowl. Stir until well blended. Pour the batter into the hot pans. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a light golden brown.
Now that the cornbread is ready you can make the dressing!
You will need:
4 Eggs: Boiled and chopped
1 Chopped Onion
Salt
Pepper
1 1/2 to 2 15 oz. cans of broth from Turkey or Chicken Broth
2 pans of Crumbled Cornbread
Mix all of the ingredients together. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Place in a large pan and bake until brown on top. You can also use this to stuff the turkey. This is a very easy recipe and you can add things to your liking. A can of cranberry sauce is always good to go with this. I have seen versions without the onions if you have some that doesn't eat onions.
