Hotel Akashdeep is situated opposite to polo ground behind the famous Chacha museum in the main market, only around seven minutes walk from the main bus stand. It is also very close to the famous Nakhi Lake of Mount Abu. Our experience of staying at Hotel Akashdeep was really very enjoyable and has encouraged me to write about this hotel so that many more tourists like us can have pleasant stay at Mount Abu. There are three main categories of the rooms available here. The first category is standard rooms available at the rates of around Rs.500 ($10) per day for the double occupancy. The next category is deluxe rooms that are available at the rates of around Rs.700 ($14) per day for the double room. The most luxurious category is the deluxe suite, which is available at the rate of Rs.1800 ($36) per day. All these charges are inclusive of all government taxes. However, these rates keep on changing based on the season you visit. We had stayed in a deluxe room. The room consists of wall to wall carpet with nice and cozy double bed. The two sofa sets are also available in the room for sitting along with the center table. The full size lockable cupboard also is available in the room. The room has full size colored TV set having cable connection, which offers around 100 channels for viewing including HBO, Star Movies and other Indian channels. There is also an attached spacious bathroom with Western toilet facility. There is a provision for running hot and cold water all through the day. The morning steaming hot water bath is really the high point of the entire day. There is a lobby all around the hotel, which offers comfortable sitting sofas and offers the best scenic view of the entire mountain range. There is also a small and beautiful garden around the hotel with full fledged outdoor party facilities in the evening.
The hotel restaurant provides room service from 6 am to 11 pm in the night through the hotel restaurant. Most of the Indian, Chinese, and continental food delicacies are available at very reasonable rates. For example, the hot masala tea costs Rs.10 (twenty five cents) and the full Indian breakfast is served at around Rs.50 ($1) per person. The room service is also quiet efficient and fast. The hotel has same day delivery laundry facilities also. One qualified doctor is also available all twenty four hours a day on call basis. There is a spacious parking available for the hotel guests free of charge. The check out time of the hotel is 9 am but the extended checkouts are offered very easily to the touristson request. The hotel also provides additional blankets and rajais if needed, mainly during the cold season. There are around thirty rooms in all in the hotel and the hotel encourages the phone bookings in advance as there may be heavy rush of the tourists during the vacation season. One can easily book an accommodation by contacting on phone number 091 2974 238670. No advance payment is asked by the hotel management while advance booking by phone. The hotel staff is very polite and gives the excellent service to all the guests. There is also a facility of alternative power supply through the generator to continue the electricity supply during the time of power failures, which are rather common in this part of the country.
I am sure that many USA residents and citizens visiting Mount Abu quiet frequently are always on the look out for the good hotels to stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Akashdeep at Mount Abu to all such tourists. I am confident they all would be able to enjoy their stay at this unique hotel at Mount Abu.
