Out of the Box Wedding Gift Ideas

Coley S.
I am one of those "out of the box" type of people who loves to give interesting gifts for any occasion and weddings are no different. I hate giving gift cards or gift certificates and prefer to make or put together gifts myself as opposed to buying a gift basket already assembled. Below are some of my favorite unique wedding gift ideas.

Honeymoon Basket - Buy a basket or a tote bag and fill it with things the happy couple can use to make their honeymoon more special and enjoyable such as candles, a bottle of wine, plastic wine glasses, etc. If they are driving somewhere, you could do the same sort of thing and put it all inside a soft cooler.

Romantic Pizza Kit - Buy a pizza pan and pizza cutter. Get a pizza box from your local pizza place and place the pizza pan and cutter inside the box. Package the box together with a blanket (for a floor picnic) or a red and white checked tablecloth, a pizza kit, a bottle of wine, and some candles and the newlyweds will be able to have a romantic pizza dinner!

Christmas Tree Starter Box - Buy a large storage box and inside the storage box place a variety of things that the happy couple can use to decorate their Christmas tree with such as Christmas lights, a box of ball ornaments, hooks, etc. What's great is that you can buy these on sale after the holidays and save them for weddings the following year! This is a very thoughtful and unique gift that is surely not to be duplicated!

Scrapbook their Photos - If you are into scrapbooking, make a cute "gift certificate" for the happy couple offering to scrapbook their wedding photos. You might want to check with friends or family of the bride first and make sure she isn't an avid scrapbooker herself, but for someone who doesn't scrapbook, this would be an amazing gift!

So, step outside of the box when you are trying to think of the perfect wedding gift for the (soon to be) newlyweds in your life!
