Out of the City of Darkness: The Fight for Kandahar '" the Afghan Wars

During the month of October More than forty U.S. soldiers have sacrificed their life for the sake of freedom, and the bloody war for independence and equality continues for the Afghan people. There have been many sacrifices that the U.S. military has had to deal with, and the families of the fallen soldiers bear the burden of a war that seems to have no end. The Taliban's birthplace is Kandahar city, and the fight to release many of its inhabitants whom are not connected with the Taliban has become a fight for freedom and justice. The innocent people of Kandahar have been trust in a bloody war for survival, and the NATO commander's tactics have changed due to the challenging nature of the region.

The insurgents have decided that the fight for Kandahar will be a fight that will surely claim more U.S. troops - in a war that has lasted 10 years. It has been a very difficult battle for the U.S. - as the troop surge has excited the insurgents to murder their own people. The deadly war has engulfed the entire Kandahar province, and it has become apparent that the battle will rage on - due to many factors that will keep the region fighting for peace and freedom for many more years to come. The Kandahar region itself has become a hotbed of recruitment for new insurgents whom have made a pact to sacrifice their life for their twisted belief - despite the innocent casualties of war.

President Obama has deployed more than 30,000 troops to the southern region, Afghanistan, and Kandahar - to help aid the Afghan Army in their effort to flush out the insurgents surrounding the Kandahar province. If the U.S. military forces are to have repeated success in the Kandahar region, it will take the efforts of a once corrupt government to overcome their indifferences to defeat the Taliban.

The U.S. exit strategy has been confirmed, and NATO commanders will begin to hand over power to the Afghan forces in 2011. If the region is going to have any real stability in the near future - the Kandahar and Afghan people will have to defy the odds, and stand up to the insurgents whom are ruling their homeland.
