Out on a Fantasy Football Limb Volume 9

Ryan Lester
I'm going back out on that fantasy football limb. I will pick five players I believe will score more points this week than a higher profile player. The scoring will be 6 points for rushing or receiving TD, 4 points for a passing TD, .1 points per yard for rushing or receiving and .05 points per passing yard. I will also do a Super Stretch Pick where I take a real longshot. First, I'll recap last week.

Last Week
Peyton Manning 20.7 beat Brian Griese 15.2 WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Brandon Jacobs 13.7 beat Clinton Portis 8.1 as I predicted.
Reggie Bush 11.3 beat Frank Gore 4.3 as I predicted.
Donald Driver 2.8 beat Muhsin Muhammad 2.3 WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Marques Colston 26.5 beat Santonio Holmes 8.9 WHICH I GOT WRONG.

Super Stretch
Jesse Chatman 10.0 beat Earnest Graham 9.4 (7.4 actual points plus 2 spotted points) as I predicted.

Regular Picks: 2-3
Super Stretch Picks: 1-0
Overall: 3-3
Breakdown: QB: 0-1, RB: 3-0, WR: 0-2

Season Record
Regular Picks: 20-20
Super Stretch Picks: 6-2
Overall: 26-22
Breakdown: QB: 5-5, RB: 15-5, WR: 6-12

This Week's Picks
Matt Hasselbeck over Drew Brees
Brees looked like he was back. Even though I think his team will win, I don't think he'll like Jacksonville up. Cleveland makes everyone look good. I think Hasselbeck will have solid numbers in a losing effort.

Marshawn Lynch over Adrian Peterson
Peterson has clearly been the Rookie of the Year thus far. Not this week as Lynch will be the top rookie runner. He gets a solid matchup with Cincinnati while Peterson has to face San Diego.

Brian Westbrook over Larry Johnson
Westbrook is amazing when he's healthy. He is this week (knock on wood) and should be leaned on heavily against Dallas. LJ has to face a tough GB defense.
Lee Evans over Anquan Boldin
Lee has his QB back. Playing against Cincy has to make a WR drool. Boldin gets to face Tampa Bay. Not as friendly.

Reggie Brown over Donald Driver
Brown has been on fire. He's really clicking with McNabb. Driver seems to have been replaced by Jennings as the go-to-guy.

SUPER STRETCH
Brandon Marshall over Roy Williams
Marshall gets to face the Detroit secondary. He should crack the century mark. Roy hasn't been spectacular lately. If Champ is healthy, I think that will continue.

What did you think of my predictions? Do you have any fantasy upsets in mind? Please leave your comments.

I hope so too. I'm rolling with Marshall.
