To dive deeper and deeper into caverns of time
Hero no more;armour tainted
Each breath you take; old skin, old wine
Reaching out, the walls are painted
Each shadowy form; yes armour tainted
Hero no more;armour tainted
Each breath you take; old skin, old wine
Reaching out, the walls are painted
Each shadowy form; yes armour tainted
I fall so far I lose my name
Surreal blend of pleasure;of pain
And so I land at mountain base
Lost in time the desert song
Wonders gone; who is that face?
Are you friend?; it's been so long
Yes it's you, I do belong
So I'm found amongst the throng
A moment clear, forgiveness shines
No grievance held,no target for blame
Old wine renewed on tender vines
The past is lifting the cloak of pain
Hero reborn, he's seen the game
Each breath now fresh with cooling flame
Rising up from worlds of shame
Where there was dark we now can play
And so uplifted we are whole
Yes, there is always another way.
