Out-of-the-Ordinary Spots to Exchange Wedding Vows

Kayle Rowe
Who says wedding vows must be exchanged only in a church, or at the beach, or before a justice of the peace? When choosing the perfect location to pledge unending love, couples may opt for unique spots, like where they met. It can be the park, the country club, the museum, or even a friend's house. If you met your significant other while touring a foreign country, like Africa, France, Italy, or Greece, and it's beyond your budget to go to such dreamy yet faraway lands, you may still opt for a themed wedding that evokes one of these destinations. For engaged couples who share a common interest like mountain climbing or scuba diving, a mountaintop or a spot at the beach may also be cheap wedding venues.

Some couples foresee mounting expenses that come with a grand wedding in a traditional church, and settle for a very simple outdoor wedding with few guests. Others go to an exotic destination like Hawaii using funds they've saved up, have a simple wedding ceremony, get settled in a moderately priced or budget-friendly hotel, and enjoy sightseeing tours or postcard-perfect countryside scenes. Sports-loving couples, on the other hand, have the time of their lives surfing, trekking, or scuba diving, all part of special packaged tours, after getting married in a quaint church or hiring a lovely cottage. Cheap wedding venues abound, many of which are featured in websites, enticing betrothed individuals to have memorable wedding events amidst a picturesque setting.

The best wedding venue is where the couple will be happiest. Couples with funds to spare can choose an idyllic spot and avail of a wedding package. Having a destination wedding allows couples to revisit a place they've come to love, or experience the unexpected. Or they may choose one of the cheap wedding venues close to home, like an amusement park or their own backyard.
