or will we have to dance very long to find the right steps?
I don't mind if you bring along your old dog,
but the backyard is the place where it should be kept.
Just add a little more spice,
for mother is away and she won't mind.
Shall I make the coal stove a little bit hotter,
or will you begin to be more kind?
And outsiders never prosper
by running to the safety of their homemade gin.
I just wish you could see beyond the craggy face
to the nice guy that lives within.
Run away, ye sure-footed angel,
and I will fetch thee a log to rest upon.
God, in his mercy, knows your needs before you ask him,
so come back soon where you belong.

Love the line, "God, in his mercy, knows your needs before you ask him"...it's a great reminder to not only try to recognize your blessings but understand that God's plan is the right one, even if you want is different most of the time-he knows what we NEED- lovely
