Overcloaking NVIDIA Cards

NTune Application

andy
In the world of hardware there is a buzz going around that many companies develop and sell processor units (for CPU and graphic cards) cloaking them a little bit below their standard attributes, as a result there is a small loss on their performance. If you have the time (and the knowledge) then you can "unlock" these values and make your computer games run with even more satisfactory results, without any disturbing delays.. Are you ready to break the benchmark record?

Until now, many users have found different ways to contribute to these value changes, with incredible and scary (in some cases) results. Lately, we got used to watch the same companies over and over again releasing support overcloaking software. In this tutorial we will analyze one of those overcloaking software and help you change the values for a greater performance.

What you will need
First of all, you must have an NVIDIA graphic card installed on your computer (it doesn't have to be the latest model), because this software which we are going to analyze supports all NVIDIA graphic cards. Then you need to download NVIDIA nTune. It is also recommended that you should have already installed the latest drivers from their official site.

Safety Measures
The procedure could be very simple, but keep aware of any hidden danger which could affect the overall performance of your computer. If you observe any kind of anomaly in your computer, such as any pixels poping up on your screen, any unecessarily reboots, freezes, high temperature, or even the worse, operating system not loading, then you have to change all the values back to normal as they were before and disable the application from running again.

It would be good to disable the automatic synchronization function from the PCI Bus clock. This can be done in your BIOS performance settings in which you have to change this value from Auto to Normal. While in BIOS, you can also check your system temperature.

To begin with..
After you install this software and reboot your system, right click on your desktop and open the nVIDIA Control Panel. In the nVIDIA Control Panel there is now a new choice under tha name of "Performance." Click on "performance" and accept the terms of use.

Automatic Tunig
The nTune can automatically find the appropriate setting for optimal performance, depending on your system and your graphics card. Choosing this option will run some benchmarks to test the behavior of the card in any value of the clock. Once the nTune will recommend appropriate changes, agree with them and choose to apply each time you start Windows.

Manual Tuning
You can play with the timing of the values of the graphics processor and onboard memory but do not overdo it if you do not want any risks with your computer system! The logic is as follows: first we raise the minimum values after the control system stability and last choose the settings after a reboot.

Monitoring & Rules
The program also gives you the opportunity to watch the variables of your system to check if everything works smoothly, with the assistance of the monitor and logs. Finally, you can create your own rule settings so that every time something unusual happens to your system will be contacted with pop-up windows, sounds, or to automatically disable the settings.
