Overcoming Failure Through Self-Awareness

Articles
Everyone has had their share of failure in life. However, not everyone reacts the same way to failure. Some look at it as a confirmation that they can not succeed in life. Others look at failure as simply a piece of information that they can use to direct their lives to a better path. The former group of people ultimately end in misery and poverty, while the latter end up being pillars of success.

Now, consider how you perceive the worst events in your life. Do you see them as a confirmation of your self image, or do you see them as temporary obstacles which will lead you to even greater prosperity? If you focus on crashing into a wall you will likely crash into it. If you focus on maneuvering around that wall you will succeed in overcoming it. When you stay focused on where you want to go, you will find that obstacles only make the journey more interesting.

Think of all the people who have turned what seems like hopelessness into success. There are people who were raised by alcoholic parents, but they used their parents as a reason to never use alcohol instead of a reason to use it. Think of those who grew up in the inner city and said to themselves, "I am going to take advantage of all opportunities in order to escape this environment" instead of using their environment as an excuse for failure. Much of turning the worst into the best is determined by the level of personal responsibility that one takes for their own life. The only way to break the negative influence of events around you is to take 100% responsibility for your life. You will gain a massive amount of power once you realize the absolute and profound ability you have to direct the course of your life.

Think of yourself as a diamond. The more pressure you take, the better you get. Program your brain to see obstacles as opportunities. Get into the habit of successful thinking. Habits are the most powerful force you have affecting your life. The great thing is that you have the power to command these habits. All it takes is a decision to replace negative habits with the positive. These positive habits build until you become a success powerhouse.

You are much bigger than life's little obstacles. Think of yourself as a giant, stepping on any negative event that stands in your way. You can use both sides of your brain by incorporating creative visualization into your mental success programming. Combine your visualizations with conviction and emotion. You are the commander of your life; your life has no other choice but to follow your demands. Yes, you truly can turn the "worst" into the best.
