Overcoming the Storms of Life!

Reflection: If you're in storm you will definitely be able to relate to today's reflection. There are different storms in life. What kind of a storm has come against you? Is it a storm against your finances? Is it a storm against your loved ones? Is it a storm against your health? Is it a storm where your character and integrity is being put to the test? Perhaps the enemy is using others to do his dirty work for him! Creep! When a storm comes against your life it may feel like 100 mile per hour winds coming at you. The rains may feel like torrential rains instead of refreshing showers. The enemy hits you over and over and over again, hoping to discourage you and wear you out by making you his dumping ground. You may feel like you physical strength has been zapped. You may feel like one more blow and I'm going to collapse. You may think I can't take this anymore!

When we cry out to the Lord in our distress he promises us that he will bring us out. The storm that was once a raging wind against us will beome a gentle whisper! The high tides of destruction will become a still calm sea! So take refuge and shelter from the storms of life in the safe haven of the arms of Jesus!

Bible Reference Verses: Psalm 57:1 BE MERCIFUL and gracious to me, O God, be merciful and gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and destructive storms are passed.

Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still. Then the men are glad because of the calm, and He brings them to their desired haven.

This was a good reminder for me, thank you so very much. I am indeed in a tornado and feel tossed to and fro. I know Jesus is with me though, He promises to never leave me or forsake me (Heb. 13:5).
