Overcoming Writers Block - a Poem

Is There a Difference Between Writers Block and Lack of Motivation?

Langley Cornwell
Still chasing elusive winged creatures
Also known as motivation

Seems as if I am waiting for something
A feeling or special sensation

Is it a matter of life's big distractions?
Or is it a mental vacation?

A writer must write for a living
It's a joy and a real occupation

What is this muse-thing people speak of?
I need one, I need conversation

My muse ignores market conditions
He cares nothing at all of inflation

A new muse might help my dilemma
And offer that sweet inspiration

If I could just hack out a poem
Shape words in a rhyme-combination

It may open the block that I'm having
I'd be free, words would flow. Jubilation!

I think writers block and motivation are different. I don't lack either; just lack of time.
