National Car Rental is a leading rental service headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over its 50 years in business it has earned a positive reputation as a leader in the industry. National serves over 3,000 locations within the United States and also has locations in Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asian-Pacific, Africa and Australia. They have over 275,000 vehicles in their fleet of rentals.

Vehicle Availability and Rates
National Car Rental offers vehicles that will accommodate from four to fifteen people. The vehicles included in the fleet fit into categories ranging from economy to full-size van. They have even added hybrid cars to their fleet. Here is a list of categories and possible models that are included in that category:

Most of these vehicles are available at major airports. National Rental centers located in the city, away from the airport may have a limited number of vehicles to chose from. Rental rates for these vehicles are based on the category and days needed but range in price from $66.99 per day for a compact vehicle up to $246.99 for a full-size van. If renting for more than 5 days, a prorated fee is applied. The rates include unlimited miles. Car seats and navigation systems are also available for rental at a daily rate.

Reservation Information
Reservations can be made online or by phone by calling 1-800-CAR RENT. You will need to know your pickup location, date and time as well as your drop-off location, date, and time. Based upon this information you will then be asked to select from the available cars. All renters must have a valid driver's license and meet the minimum age for rental. Reservations can be secured with credit . Debit cards may be used if there is proof a round trip airline ticket was purchased. If a reservation is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance a $50 "No Show" fee is charged.

The National Car Rental website is a user-friendly site. Simply log onto www.nationalcar.com to see for yourself. From this website you can reserve your car in 3 easy steps. When choosing your category of vehicle, a picture is displayed along with typical features. Icons are used to depict the number of adults, children, and luggage the vehicle can accommodate. Another fabulous feature on the National Car Rental website is the ability to compare categories of vehicles in different countries. Say you are traveling to Australia and you think you want to rent a minivan, the site will tell you what is comparable to a minivan in Australia.

Perks and Discounts
Customer service inquires can be addressed by completing a form on the website or calling the 1-800 number.
Business travelers have the option of becoming a member of the Emerald Club. Emerald Club members are provided special perks such as quicker service. They can also earn free rental days and frequent flier miles as rewards for frequent rentals.

E-Coupons can be found on the website most of which consist of $20-$30 off a weekly rental. A coupon ID, provided on the website, is necessary to receive the discount. Senior discount rates are available to those 50 years of age or older but one must call the reservation number to receive it.
