Find out more about the Wilson brothers and their upbringing on this bio page. Owen Cunningham Wilson was born on November 18, 1968 in Dallas, Texas. He's had a well-rounded life having went to school in Dallas, then military academy, he also attended the University of Texas. In college, he met Wes Anderson and together wrote a screenplay for Bottle Rocket, which was released in 1996. The film went on to earn one million dollars, despite critical praise. It was after that Owen moved to Hollywood where he set up shop with his two brothers and Anderson. While the Wilson family did live in Texas they were originally from Massachusetts.

Back in 2007, Wilson was the target of rumors when it was reported that he made a suicide attempt. Later, his father confirmed that Owen was treated for depression. This caused him to withdraw from what would have been his starring role in Tropic Thunder. The film as produced by his good friend Ben Stiller. Wilson recovered and went on to promote and work on new film roles. He has yet to publicly speak of his 2007 hospitalization
and it's understandable, given the personal nature of the situation.

His next films are Hall Pass and Cars 2, where he voices the role ofLightning McQueen. Congratulations go out to the soon-to-be dad!
