From personal experience, I can say that I love the breed. I actually have a black and white Pomeranian named Paco. I adopted him from my sister. She didn't have enough time to work with him, so she could not get him potty trained. After getting Paco, we had a little difficulty potty training him, but he is now trained. We actually used a crate to train him. I can say that they are a very stubborn breed because you can tell them to lie down and in two seconds they are right back by you. It's best to give these dogs a lot of attention. If you have children and they love animals this is the perfect breed for you. They love children and people. They are very social creatures. They are also a lot of fun. Paco likes to play catch with a little ball. He can actually play for hours on end. Paco follows me around wherever I go. There is one problem with the breed that I have found. They are prone to separation anxiety because they are such sociable creatures (Dog Breed Info Center). For more information on Separation Anxiety, please check out my article here.
There are many reasons to own this breed. First, they are a small dog. They are very intelligent, so when they are worked with they can be trained very easily. They are a great dog for the family because they are very sociable creatures. They are fairly easy to take care of; brushing is the most essential task to keep them looking great. They are pretty dogs with the thick fur, which keeps them very warm in the winter. This dog is not the dog for you if you do not have time to train them, you do not want to have to groom a dog, or if you just don't the ability to play with them.
