Oxford, Maine Plays Host to Annual Nateva Music & Camping Festival
Three-day Event Features Good Music, Crafts, Games and Fun
Oxford, ME 04270
United States of America
What you can expect from this year's Festival is good music and good fun. The musical line up includes people from all walks of the music field including George Clinton, Funkadelic, Phil Lesh (formerly from the Grateful Dead), blues great Susan Tedeschi, The Felice Brothers, Ryan Montbleau, Max Creek. Lotus, Moonalice, Keller Williams, and Zappa Plays Zappa, among many others...and the list continues to grow.
First and foremost, this is a festival that sells out quickly, so make plans now and get your tickets.
It's no wonder the event sells out so fast. In addition to the venue and great acts, The Nateva Music & Camping Festival planners want to make sure that everyone has something to see and do.
As with many musical festivals, food plays a big a role as the artists. Fresh and natural are the mainstays. Unlike many festivals, you can expect to meet and mingle with the musicians. This includes craft vendors, magicians, jugglers, puppeteers, fire breathers and stilt walkers, carnival rides, bungee jumping, a climbing wall and even a Rodeo bull riding challenge.
After a great day of food and music, and maybe a little nap to rejuvenate your body, you'll be treated to nighttime entertainment as well in the form of a late night movie. It's all about family, a means to reconnect or reinforce bonds with those you love while enjoying great entertainment along the way.
If you like the idea of all of the entertainment but the idea of sitting on a blanket or on lawn chairs does appeal to you, consider a VIP package which Nateva offers for $425 for the weekend. You'll get special parking that allows you to come and go as you please, a VIP lounge out of the sun, a separate area for dining, lounging and even seating in the main concert area, as well as a full-service bar.
If you plan to attend organizers recommend that bring the following: Blanket and Chairs to sit on, Tent and Sleeping Bag, Hat with a visor for shade, Sunscreen and Sunglasses,
Toilet Paper, Soap & Towel, sweaters, warm coat or sweater, camera
flashlight and batteries, trash bags, Container for Free Water that's available, coolers and ice, propane stove or a small charcoal grill, Bug Spray, Extra Shoes, Sneakers, or Flip Flops for Mud, and a bathing suit as shuttle buses are available to take you to a nearby lake for swimming.
For particulars on the event, the Web site http://www.natevafestival.com/ covers every aspect of what you should expect.
