Oxnard 4th of July Celebration

Oxnard's 12^th annual "Fireworks by the Sea" fireworks display on the 4^th of July starts at 9 p.m. Admission is free. Parking is available in the free parking lots which run the entire length of the Channel Islands Harbor on South Harbor Blvd. Join the celebration early for a full day of food and fun, exhibits, live entertainment, and children's activities.

Oxnard's annual "Fireworks by the Sea" official watching location will be at Marine Emporium Landing, 3600 South Harbor Blvd. in Oxnard. All areas are handicap accessible.

The fireworks will be launched at 3900 Pelican Way, directly across from the watching location next to the US Coast Guard Station, so the view will be spectacular from any location in the harbor.

The Oxnard 4^th of July Celebrations will last the entire day, starting at 8 a.m. with the 5^th Annual 10K and 5K Fun Run/Walk. Registration is at 7 a.m. The 10K course starts at Sunset Lane and goes through beautiful Hollywood Beach, Oxnard State Beach Park and Mandalay Shores. This is a flat course with no hills. Free Kayak Lesson and one hour rental is being offered from 8 - 10 a.m. courtesy of Channel Islands Kayak, 3600 S. Harbor Blvd., Oxnard.

The 12^th Annual 4^th of July Parade begins at 11 a.m. The parade route starts in front of Harbor Landing Shopping Center and ends in the parking lot of the Whale's Tail and Port Royal Restaurants. The parade is open to all patriotic entries of any age. See the parade flyer and fill in a parade entry form.

Judging categories include: Individual, Small Group, Large Group.
Motorized vehicles: classic cars, fire trucks, golf carts, etc.
Musical: bands, individual musicians, etc.
Equestrian and floats.

The Marine Emporium Landing has events scheduled continuously from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Artist's Market, Live Music, Food Booths, 4^th of July "Old Fashioned BBQ", Water Taxi Rides, Children's Games and Activities, Face Painting, Gigantic Inflatable Fun Zone, Rock Climbing Wall, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides for the Kids, and much more!
