Oxygen Fitness Center is Top Health Club in Warner Robins, GA

Not long after relocating to Warner Robins, GA a few years ago I began trying out several local gyms to decide where to become a member. After checking out the bigger named clubs, such as Gold's Gym, I finally settled on a smaller establishment called Oxygen Fitness Center. I had heard good things about Oxygen from a coworker, and they did not disappoint.

The Facility
In the three or four years I have been a member this 24 hour fitness center has really upgraded their facility to compete with some of the larger health clubs. The 24 hour access is nice when you want to grab an early morning, or late evening workout and can't make it in during "traditional" gym hours. Each member is assigned an access key that fits on your key chain and swipes open the fitness center doors after hours.

Oxygen Fitness Center is equipped with all the latest cardio, free weights and nautilus equipment. I personally enjoy doing circuits on the Cybex and Hammer Strength machines located throughout the facility. The gym is clean and the machines are kept in good condition. The locker facilities are clean and offer a shower with private dressing area, a sauna, and several rows of lockers to secure your belongings (bring your own lock). They have also recently added tanning facilities and an adjacent juice bar offering nutritious smoothies and other healthy treats.

Cardio
The cardio section offers three main types of workouts. Several elliptical machines line the front row of the cardio section with just as many treadmills just behind them. Both types of machines are high-end, Life Fitness brand commercial equipment. They are very stable, and offer some excellent programs for all your cardio goals - fat burning, endurance, etc. Located just behind the row of treadmills is a section of upright and recumbent exercise bikes. Again, the equipment is top-notch and the recumbent bikes in particular offer very comfortable seating for those of us with bad backs. The last row in the cardio section has a mix of elliptical machines and a stair machine or two. This is usually an overflow area if they other machines are in use, but I rarely see people working on these machines when others are available. An aerobics room with a complete schedule of aerobics and spinning classes is available.

Weights
Oxygen Fitness Center offers a nice variety of free weights and machines. A large Smith machine is available for those who prefer a self-spotting mechanism for squats or bench press. Several racks of dumbbells line the walls, and an abdominal section in the back corner provides a Swiss ball, decline bench and padded mats for crunches.

Child Care
Child care services are available for a small fee. A closed circuit video monitoring system allows you to keep an eye on your little one from the main gym floor - a comforting amenity for parents.
