I have purchased two airbeds from Ozark Trails, because they were the cheapest in the store. One was vinyl all over and the second was vinyl with velour on top. The only difference is that the velour airbed cost $1 more, and it wasn't slippery like the vinyl. They came with carry bags. These airbeds did not include an air pump.
I inflated my first airbed with a hand pump. It took hours, and I gave up trying to achieve a desired firmness. Every time I pumped air in almost just as much air came right back out.
You are only supposed to inflate it to 80% of your desired firmness to prevent bursting.
You CANNOT sleep on your back on this thing or else (1) you will wake up with an unbelievably sore back. (2) If you have a big butt, then be prepared for it be on the ground. This was so annoying. I could see if I had a ba-donk-a-donk, but I do not think that I do. When sleeping on my back my body would be supported by the air but my butt was sunk to the ground.
This is why I bought the second airbed. I stacked them so that I wouldn't wake up with my butt sunk to the ground. It worked, but the second airbed was vinyl all over and it constantly slips.
Sleeping on your stomach is totally different (unless you have a pot belly or extremely large chested). It is much more comfortable and firm to sleep on your stomach on this airbed. The velour feels so nice that if these beds were taller, then I would not bother getting a real bed.
I have to inflate them once every 2-3 days. Compared to other reviews of other brands I think 2-3 days isn't that bad. Also, I have owned these beds over two weeks and they haven't burst. They are still good as new.
I suggest buying an elevated airbed. It costs about the same as the two airbeds that I bought. The only difference is you don't have to worry about the beds slipping off one another. The pro of buying two non-elevated beds and stacking them is that if one bursts, then you still have the other one as back-up.
I highly suggest an electric pump. It took less than a minute to inflate these after I bought the electric pump.
