Why Publish Every Day?
1. People want New Content
Despite the vast amount of information on the web, people still seek new content constantly.
As the amount of information grows, so does our cultural need for it.
2. To Develop Readership
When readers find a writer they like, whether on Associated Content, a blog, or even on a social network, they eagerly await your next article.
When you don't give your readership something new every day, they may stray.
3. To Fill A Gap
Based on my personal experience, I have found that Sundays, especially Sunday nights are a very busy time on the web. Many writers and publishing sites make the misake of taking the weekend off. People are on line 24-7, and by Sunday night, they are craving some new articles to read.
How to Publish Every Day
Publishing every day goes hand-in-hand with my other number one tip for web writing success: submit content every day.
Some writers use blogs to publish every day, since that is where their audience is. However, if you also publish articles at paying web sites including Associated Content, you need to publish at least one article every single day.
Every single day does not mean Monday through Friday. It means seven days a week.
One way to publish every day at a paying web site is to take control of your content, and make sure something gets published every day. Many web publishers do not offer upfront pay, and writers are submitting for free anyway.
The same can be done at Associated Content. If you have an article that is timely, searchable, interesting, and keyworded well, publish it. Also take the opportunity to publish articles you may have published elsewhere.
Another way to publish every day is to find an interesting topic that you can publish a short piece on every day. Some popular topics which are already being done include today in history, parenting tips, product recalls, and celebrity birthdays. Pick a topic that interests you, and publish.
You will develop a following, by creating your own daily column. If you are publishing for free and non-exclusive, you can also compile these pieces into a an e-book in the future.

Post a CommentI've been reading through your articles and I have to say in my honest opinion, that you as a writer (financially for the sake of art) go beyond the call of duty. One of my favorite authors, Matthew Stover, always used to say: "Everything you write, whatever it is, you better do it all the way."
I think your writing is stays true to that tenet we all share.
Great tips, Pam! I'm getting back in the groove here at AC and I like what you have to say.
This is my absolute favorite. Continuous writing improves the craft and the exposure.
P is for Pam! Joshing-good article, always wondered about Sundays (evenings). Thanks for that tidbit of insight.
Great advice for this novice. I've saved this article to my favorites so that I may refer to it, and added you to my favorites as you probably have other articles which would be helpful to me as I enter this online writing experience. In 2008, my goal is to publish at least once per week. My publication is currently fairly sporadic. Thank your for the tips Pam. Excellent article.
Wonderful tips for writers, Pam! I love the format that you put this in.
Exceptional job. This is a keeper. Thank you for sharing your tips and wisdom. I am guilty of straying a day or two.
Excellent tips, I have it book marked. So I will be back, and will be passing the link on to others. Now if I can just get myself to do one a day. Thank you for the incentive. Hugs Mary
