Pac-10 Looks Good to Texas and Oklahoma

Did you know that most people in Tennessee are not Lane Kiffin fans? Hard to believe. When the NCAA announced a few days ago the punishment against USC you can be sure that folks in Tennessee could not help but smile. It got even better when the NCAA gave permission to Juniors and Seniors on the USC team to transfer schools without having to sit out. Here is the kicker: these players cannot transfer to another Pac-10 school. Let's assume for a moment that Texas, Oklahoma, and a few other Big-12 schools join the Pac-10 within the next few weeks or months making these powerhouse schools ineligible to grab any USC players. Now I don't know how many USC Jr.'s and Sr.'s will actually leave (maybe none, don't see that happening) but the SEC and Big 10 would undoubtedly be the target schools for many of these players. Can you imagine if Tennessee were to grab 2 or 3 USC players over the next few weeks? Tennessean's would have an ever bigger smile.

This is definitely going to hurt USC over the next two years. The devastating effect this will have on USC recruiting is immeasurable. It will be interesting to see what kind of product USC has on the field in three years. It cannot be a comforting feeling thinking about going up against Texas and Oklahoma with abunch of 2 and 3 star recruits instead of the typical golden boys. Did you know SMU use to be really good at football?
