Pacman Jones Shouldn't Be Allowed in TNA

Bruce Bostwick
In what should be considered as bonehead move of the year by TNA, they had signed Adam "Pacman" Jones to a temporary contract. Jones plays for the Titans but has a contract that states that he can't get involved physically. A waste of money has been put into having him around and he has been in trouble with the law. Thinking about what has been going on as of late with Congress possibly stepping in and all the whole Benoit tragedy, this move could not have come at a worse time. The thought of him even being involved with the company in the 1st place is just ridiculous. Is he going to draw ratings? Who is going to come up and actually say they'll watch TNA for Pacman Jones? The odds of that are unlikely considering the fact that no matter who gets brought into TNA, the ratings don't seem to skyrocket like the powers that be want to happen.

At this very moment, he is a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans but hasn't been in the league 5 years yet he's been arrested. For some reason, it must be planted in his head that he is above the law and can do whatever he pleases. It is disgusting that someone like that would do such a thing. Now this guy is going to be in TNA, what are they going to do next, hire Michael Vick? They better not even think of doing such a thing. Vick is another subject for another time so as far as Pacman Jones goes, this should hopefully come to an end rather quick.

The 2007-08 season obviously will not have Jones playing at all and it is possible that he could get cut from the team. Until he gets his act together and stays out of legal problems, he won't last that long in the league. Why a wrestling company would want to hire him even though he has been arrested 5 times is just mind-boggling. At this very moment, he is now a non-wrestler for TNA and that's about it. There was an angle started with him initially being confronted by former 2-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ron "The Truth" Killings, whom had just returned to the company after walking out being displeased with what they are doing with him. That didn't last long as now Pacman Jones and Ron Killings will be teaming up against Kurt Angle for the TNA Tag Team Titles. How in the world is this going to work with a clause that states he can't get involved physically or be touched at all? It makes no sense to do such a thing.

If TNA really wanted to get a star player, they could have looked at somebody else instead of him. He hasn't even been in the league really long and yet he's supposed to bring in the publicity for the company? There is just no way possible unless it is to completely make them look foolish. ESPN covered it for a minute but it didn't get the goal done nor did the ratings actually rise with him. If that's not bad enough, the ratings slightly dropped so quite honestly, he's not going to be the savior or anything like that.Pacman Jones should be barred on the sheer count of being a legal liability. What needs to be done personally should be cut and also removed from TNA as well until he gets it in his head to stop with causing trouble. He could have a bright future in the NFL but only if he chooses to be smart and not screw up.
