Pacquiao and Mosley Both Going for Knock-Outs
Knock-Out Equals Sold-Out with Scalpers Making the Real Killing
Never mind that this is not the match up you want to see. We may never see that Fight of the Decade at least not anytime soon anyway.
Never mind that the boxing champ is coming off two uninspiring wins.
Never mind that the opponent is limping off two unpleasant fights, a loss and a draw.
But the truth still remains.
People are going to watch this fight!
Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley
Because on May 7, 2011, whether you are watching or not, one of boxing's best fights this year will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Yes in the hometown of local boxing great, Floyd Mayweather Jr. It's just that he is not going to be on top of the ring.
This is because the only places Mayweather is fighting at lately is supposedly in his ex-wife's home, a parking lot and of course inside Las Vegas Criminal Courts.
Current pound-for-pound boxing king Manny Pacquaio will instead defend his WBO Welterweight crown against 3 Division World Champion Sugar Shane Mosley.
Not Even A Good Boxing Match-up
Now, boxing experts and odds makers are all giving this fight for Pacquiao. So it doesn't make sense that people bought all the tickets, even buying the over-priced ones, people are getting Closed-ciruit TV or that people are ordering PPV.

But because it is fan-favorite Pacquiao fighting (which fans are unsure how many more of his fights are coming up). And more importantly because both fighters are promising a knock-out, one way or the other, tickets have been sold-out for weeks now, unless if you want to consider purchasing them from scalpers at over a 300% mark-up.
Let us see how both boxers stack up
Tale Of The Tape:
Pacman-Sugar Shane
Boxer. Mosley ............ Pacquiao
Height 5'8'"................... 5'6'"
Weight 147-154 lbs... 140-145 lbs
Reach 74".................... 67"
Age..... 39..................... 32
KOs.... 39..................... 38
Stance Orthodox......... Southpaw
As you can see, Mosley is taller, naturally the bigger and stronger fighter. He can take a punch and dish out one or two of his own lethal puncher's bombs. But comparatively, Pacquiao is younger, faster and can hit back from any angle, with both hands.
Now, the only thing we are waiting for is a possible upset (which have been common in pro-boxing lately) and a real honest-to-goodness slugfest between two real brawlers or punchers and the resulting fireworks. Lights-out would be the icing.
Let's get ready to rumble!
